Progression Electric, LLC was founded in 1998 by the late Jerry Minnich. Built on a foundation of honesty and integrity, Jerry created Progression Electric to meet the needs of customers and clients with dedication and ingenuity. He was known for his ability to find solutions where others saw obstacles, living by one of his most well-known sayings: “Can’t means you don’t want to.”

That philosophy guided his entire career and continues to shape our company today. For 28 years, Progression Electric has been a cornerstone of traffic signal progress in East Tennessee, helping keep communities safe and moving efficiently. We currently service more than 40 municipalities and school districts, supporting critical infrastructure that keeps traffic flowing smoothly.

Although our founder passed away in 2020, our leadership team—bringing over 95 years of combined electrical experience—continues to uphold the outstanding customer service and strong work ethic he instilled in every employee. Progression Electric is proud to be a small but mighty woman-owned business, dedicated to providing dependable, high-quality electrical solutions with integrity and professionalism.
